The End (#2)

Things were bad at the farm. Walkers had surrounded every window and door, and they weren’t planning on leaving until they had been fed. Fortunately, the residents had guns; unfortunately, they weren’t doing so well on ammunition. Even so, they lived on the will to survive and gave nothing but their best to accomplish it.

Andrea and Glenn were on the top floor trying to snipe the walkers that were still making their way to the house. Rick, Hershel, and Jimmy were downstairs, and T-Dog and Daryl had gone into the barn to fend off the stray walkers which came in small groups. They also tried to help out Andrea and Glenn with taking down some of their targets.

Lori, Carl, and the rest of the group that had no experience with guns had all run down into the basement; although it took a lot of convincing from their loved ones who had stayed upstairs to fight.

In the house a window had broken through and walkers began throwing themselves into it. Rick, who had been at a different window, rushed over to the broken one and shot every walker that showed it’s rotting head. One after another, Rick was wondering if they would ever stop; he was running out of bullets. He quickly reloaded before another walker realized there was a way in.

But when he turned back he almost dropped his gun. The girl he had left behind with Shane was now trying to climb over the pile of dead walkers. Her eyes had turned a baby blue, her skin already grey with decay. She was bearing her teeth which had already turned a light brown. And she was hungry.

Rick was faced with yet another tough situation. Of course he had to kill her, but he couldn’t stop going over about what she had said about Shane. She had been bitten and turned for him. If that wasn’t love, Rick didn’t know what was. He swallowed a lump he had formed in his throat and fought back tears. He pointed his gun at her reanimated corpse. He aimed at her forehead as she drew closer and at point blank range pulled the trigger.

Thank you so much for reading my Walking Dead Choose Your Own Adventure story! I hope you were happy with the choices you made, and if you’re not then feel free to go back and make some changes! There are 12 endings in all but only one path to get to the “To Be Continued…” ;)
